REGISTERED NURSEPULMONARY UNIT

The 12-bed PulmonaryUnit is located on the 6th floor of the new Main Tower. Theclinical staff on Pulmonary work closely with hospitalists,pulmonologists and respiratory therapists to provide top-notch carefor patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues.

In the state-of-the-art new Main Tower, thePulmonary nurse provides high-quality nursing care to acute carepatients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement andevaluate the care of patients. He/she functions within theframework of the policies and procedures of the organization anddemonstrates professional growth and accountability. The Pulmonarynurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice,coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in theprovision of quality nursingcare.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The staff nurse provides nursing care topatients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care forpatients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursingcare.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursingprogram

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing programeligible

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
CurrentLicense in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLCMultistate License.
BLS certificationrequired.

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
For PRN positions: One year ofnursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Advancedcertification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
