Job Title: Seasonal Maintenance & Snow Removal Worker Location: Overland Park, Kansas (Local University) Contract Term: November – March 20 -30 Hours Per Week Pay Rate: $22 -$23 per hour Position Overview We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our Facilities team for a seasonal contract position. The Maintenance & Snow Removal Worker will perform a variety of general maintenance tasks and ensure campus grounds remain safe and accessible during winter weather. Key Responsibilities Perform miscellaneous maintenance work across campus facilities (minor repairs, upkeep, and support tasks). Operate snow removal equipment (shovels, snow blowers, plows, salt spreaders) to clear walkways, parking lots, and entrances. Apply de-icing materials to prevent hazardous conditions. Assist with routine groundskeeping and custodial support as needed. Respond promptly to weather-related emergencies and maintenance requests. Follow all safety procedures and university guidelines. Qualifications Prior experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, or snow removal preferred. Ability to operate snow removal equipment safely and effectively. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in cold weather conditions. Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings during snow events. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Schedule & Compensation Seasonal contract position running November through March. Hourly pay: $24–$25, based on experience. Flexible schedule with potential for on-call shifts during inclement weather.
