Role Overview:

As a Physical Therapist in the Aztec school district, you will be responsible for providing personalized physical therapy services to students. Your role will be integral in helping students enhance their physical abilities, ensuring they can fully engage in their educational experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and delivering individualized therapy programs tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborating with educators, school staff, and parents to craft and implement effective therapy strategies.
  • Conducting evaluations and tracking progress to adjust therapy plans accordingly.
  • Providing guidance and training to students, families, and school staff on physical therapy techniques.
  • Keeping thorough records of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Participating in IEP meetings to help set and achieve educational and therapeutic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Experience in a school setting is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students, families, and staff.
  • A compassionate, patient-focused approach to therapy.
