We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team in New Orleans, LA. This full-time position involves working across two schools, providing speech and language services to students in PreK-6th grade. The caseload includes approximately 40 students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and an additional 10-15 students for intervention services. You will work with students who have a range of disabilities, from mild to severe, and will provide therapy and support in both individual and group settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for students with speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and small group settings.
  • Provide intervention services for students with speech and language delays or difficulties.
  • Work with students with a range of disabilities, including mild, moderate, and severe challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, therapy services, and assessments.
  • Attend IEP meetings, progress meetings, and other collaborative meetings as required.
  • Create and maintain a supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Louisiana state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with students with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other educational professionals.
  • Passion for helping students with speech and language challenges succeed.
