Summary

Job Summary The lead pharmacist serves as the team lead for a designated pharmacy group. The lead pharmacist provides direction and assists pharmacists and pharmacy technicians on a day-to-day basis. The lead pharmacist takes on additional responsibilities, including but not limited to, regulatory, clinical, interdisciplinary initiatives or serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC). The lead pharmacist will work as a pharmacist, who processes prescription orders for outpatients, monitor patient drug therapies, and provides drug information and patient education. The lead pharmacist will assist with management of personnel but will not have direct reports. In the absence of the pharmacy leader, the lead pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy leader. The lead pharmacist must be patient-focused, team-oriented and have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements Education Required: Bachelors in Pharmacy Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy Experience Preferred: 1-2 years supervisory experience Skills Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Good verbal and written communication skills Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: Licensed by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist or eligible for licensure by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist and obtains licensure within 90 days of hire. Required: **Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire**
