ECS is seeking a Senior Database Engineer work in our Warner Robins, GA office.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a highly qualified Senior Database Engineer with an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance to work on our project at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment. Must hold and maintain a valid Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. The candidate will be involved with product sustainment, product development, lab support, and engineering services in support of the Operational Flight Program (OFP), Test Program Set (TPS) development and support, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance software and Mission Support (MS) business lines. Candidate will assist in evaluating current systems, planning of large-scale system projects, purchasing, installing and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will be expected to perform at a Senior/SME level with minimal to no assistance from junior level organic staff.
  • Administer and design databases.
  • Conduct data analysis, conduct development activities, complete database conversions/migrations, and instantiation of database.
  • Manage compliance for database administration procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Manage centralized data repositories.
  • Be proficient in SQL, PostGres, MongoDB or similar database languages.
  • Manage data diodes and data replications across classifications and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Creating database architectures and implement within cloud technologies including Amazon Web Service or Microsoft Azure.

Required Skills:

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • US Citizen.
  • Security+CE Certificate.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with database design and administration.
  • Experience with data analysis, database design, development activities, database conversion/migrations, and instantiation of databases.
  • Experience in managing compliance to database administration procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of centralized database languages.
  • Proficient in SQL, PostGres, MongoDB, or similar database languages.
  • Experience with data diodes and data replications across classifications and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with database architecture and implementations of database leveraging cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Service or Microsoft Azure.

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ Years’ experience working on DoD programs is highly desired.
  • Interest in new technologies and the ability to adopt to those new technologies.
