**Job Description:**
As a Sign Language Interpreter with Soliant Education, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and other stakeholders in the educational environment. Your expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) and your ability to accurately interpret spoken language will contribute to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students.

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide interpretation and transliteration services for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings, including classrooms, meetings, and extracurricular activities.
- Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa, ensuring clear and accurate communication of content and context.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to facilitate communication and support the academic and social-emotional needs of students with hearing impairments.
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the needs of diverse individuals and ensure accessibility for all students.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working with students, families, and school personnel.

**Qualifications:**
- Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) OR
- Score of 4.0 or above on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA).
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
- Previous experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt interpreting techniques to meet the needs of diverse individuals.
- Commitment to fostering accessibility and inclusion for individuals with hearing impairments.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and learning.

**Position Details:**
- Start Date: August 19, End Date: June 6
- Hours: 30 hours per week
