JOBPURPOSE:
Computed Tomography (CT)Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to producecross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients.CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographicexaminations in accordance with all prescribed standards under thedirect guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologistsprovide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal,pediatrics, adult, andgeriatrics.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Graduateof an AMA approved Radiologic Technologyprogram.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
- A minimum of one(1) year experience as a RadiologicalTechnologist
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
- Registered by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technology(R).
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
- Advancedcertification by ARRT in CT preferred.
- BLScertification required.
- Six (6) monthsexperience as a CT Technologistpreferred.
