Job Description

We are looking for a 7th-12th Grade Math Teacher in the Denver Area. As a 7th-12th Grade Math Teacher you will support children in the classroom and gain exposure to schools and invaluable experience.

In this role, you will be able to grow your experience and relationships with multiple schools and gain exposure to a broad range of teaching styles and behavior management principles. This role comes with a competitive daily rate between $180 - $220 per day, paid weekly. With this role, there is no requirement to work weekends, and will be on a schedule Monday to Friday week, within hours of 7:45-3:55 with additional office hours preferred. This position is for the 2024-2025 school year starting August 5, 2024 - May 22, 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach math classes for grades 7 through 12, with one role focusing on higher-level math.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of a wide range of student needs.
  • Provide additional support through office hours for students needing extra help.
  • Collaborate closely with the math department to share best practices, develop innovative teaching strategies, and support student learning.
  • Participate in monthly Professional Development days and late starts.
  • Work with the math interventionist to support specific students as needed.
  • Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Mathematics field and experience teaching Middle or High School
  • Currently have or will obtain a CO teaching credential or substitute teaching permit
  • Pass a background check before the hiring date
  • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
  • US Work Authorization as Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

  • Master's Degree
  • Accredited Teacher Preparation Program
