Job Description: As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Arizona, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders across diverse settings. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests, clinical observations, and patient histories.
    • Formulating diagnostic impressions and treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient-specific goals.

  2. Treatment Planning and Implementation:

    • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension and expression.
    • Providing therapy to address swallowing disorders through exercises, strategies, and dietary modifications as needed.

  3. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Communicating effectively with patients and their families to educate them on treatment goals, strategies, and progress.

  4. Documentation and Compliance:

    • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
    • Ensuring adherence to ethical standards and best practices set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Arizona state licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program.
  • Current Arizona state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP or CFY-SLP).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
