Endo Tech:
Assists thephysician in the performance of endoscopic and various complexinterventional cases. Maintains supplies and equipment in theEndoscopy Department in proper working order. Cleans and disinfectsequipment according to unit and hospital policy. Providesappropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopypatient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performance ofclerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function ofAmbulatory Care and Endoscopy. Assemble and maintain patient chartmaterial, maintain records and files, maintains order, cleanlinessof the workstation. Completes charges forpatients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the physician in the performance of endoscopicprocedures
Assists in wide array of complicatedinterventional procedures such as EUS, ERCP, Lithotripsy, Spyglass,EMR, Barrax, POEMS, Esophageal Stents, Duodenal Stents, AxiosStents, Bravos, Liver Biopsies etc.
Main preceptor fornew tech staff teaching proper care and maintenance of scopes andorients staff to various skills and responsibilities needed toassist physicians in GI procedures.
Orders and maintainspar levels of GI specific equipment and supplies. Recommendsequipment orders to leadership.
Cleans and disinfectsequipment according to unit and hospital policy
Assembleand maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files,maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation.
Performsclerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function ofAmbulatory Care and Endoscopy
ADDITIONAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITES:
- On Call, overnight, weekends andholidays rotation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,ABILITIES:
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge ofhandling hazardous substances.
Skill and ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
Tact, discretion, diplomacy, and ability to work effectively withothers.
Ability to work as a member of ateam.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate orequivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
Two (2) years of Endoscopy Techexperience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW:
Current AHA BLS Certificationrequired.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in Endoscopypreferred.
Preferred graduate of GI/OR Technologyprogram
GTS Certification preferred
AGTSCertification preferred
