Responsibilities

  • Develop and review program technical and mission documentation
  • Assess the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems
  • Develop and implement the support and maintenance concepts and develop the maintainability requirements for assigned systems
  • Perform cost analysis and life cycle cost studies for assigned systems
  • Develop and approve logistic/maintenance requirements analyses, documentation requirements for SOWs/RFPs/RFQs/CDRLs and other contractual documents to include Technical Evaluation of proposals.
  • Provide inputs to LRFS to plan and manage the actions required for procurement of resources needed for system support for all logistics elements
  • Review and approve any changes to logistics plans, including Maintenance Task Analyses and Maintenance Plans
  • Participate in JCCB Gate Reviews & TEDs, review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) prior to meetings, provide assessment of Product Support impacts for applicable changes & recommendations to IPT for approval/disapproval of packages based on assessment
  • Coordinate with appropriate LEMs – Maintenance Planning, Technical Data, Supply, etc. to ensure all Product Support impacts to LPD, pubs, and spares for Gate packages and TDs are identified
  • Assist with drafting of Government led Gate packages, Engineering Change Proposals and provide inputs for 4130 packages and review packages in ECM
  • Track all ECPs from date of approval to final installation of the change on each end item and ensure all logistics data products have been updated
  • Understand your roles/responsibilities and requirements for Technical Directives per NAVAIR SOP 00-25-300. Review Technical Directives for accuracy, draft NAVAIR 5215/9 (Technical Directive Logistics Support Checklist) & draft NAVAIR 5215.12 (Waiver Requests) for your applicable systems
  • Coordinate with required SMEs to obtain artifacts to establish/update Work Unit Codes (NAVAIR 00-25-8; MIL-STD-196 & Joint Electronics Type Designation Automated System (JETDAS))Support the RCB process and meetings by resolving logistics deficiencies or provide feedback to DAC lead if a design change is required to resolve problems/issues
  • Support the DMS process and meetings for the systems under your area of responsibility
  • Support SETR events (PDR, CDR, etc.) to include tailoring/populating checklists via the Collaborative Integrated Systems Engineering Environment (ISEE) tool and have familiarity with NAVAIR Instruction 4355.19E
  • Coordinate with LEMs and FST for product support
  • Work in logistic and maintenance organizations on issues that include technical evaluation and identification of weapons systems; logistic requirements and resources.
  • Participate in the development of logistic support and maintenance programs and plans
  • Engage in systems acquisition requirements analysis.
  • Facilitate budgetary or financial analysis and control; life cycle cost analysis and control; weapons systems hardware andsoftware standardization and compatibility.
  • Support ILS Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program test, evaluationplanning, and executionand ILS R&M program management analysis.
  • Collect, compile, analyze, investigate, research, and apply logistic, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information.
  • Develop, modify, prepare, and validate documents in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.
  • Assist Deputy Assistant Program Manager, Logistic (DAPML) with updating tracker sheets and working Action Items (AIs) given for each Main Operating Base (MOB) and Forward Operating Base (FOB).

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Six (6) years of experience in defense life-cycle logistics.

Education Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree in a business related discipline; working toward a Professional Logistics Certification.

Allowable Substitution:

  • An additional two (2) years experience working in direct support of Defense life-cycle logistics can be substitutedfor a BS or BA Degree.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This position has an on-site requirement and is not eligiblefor remote candidates.
