Job Title: School Psychologist

Location: Brea, California

Job Overview:

We are excited to announce an opening for a School Psychologist in Brea, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to support the mental health and educational success of our students. This role requires close collaboration with educators, parents, and administrators to create a supportive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed psychological evaluations to understand students' learning, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • Create and manage individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling to help students address academic, emotional, and social issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and devise intervention plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
  • Conduct training and workshops for staff, parents, and students on mental health, behavior management, and learning strategies.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in school psychology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Psychologist in California.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in a school setting.
  • Expertise in psychological assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprint clearance.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
