School Based Occupational Therapist: Alpharetta, GA

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic team near Alpharetta, GA. As an OT, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients by helping them achieve greater independence and quality of life through therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities, including physical, cognitive, and emotional factors.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve clients' ability to perform daily activities and tasks.
- Provide adaptive techniques and equipment recommendations to facilitate independence and safety.
- Educate clients, caregivers, and family members on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and complete accurate and timely clinical notes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Previous experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to professional growth and development through continuing education and training.
