Support Recovery Through Integrated Care – Join Our Co-Occurring Specialist Team This is a full-time, benefit eligible position working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. As an Co-Occuring Disorders Counselor (Internal Title: ITCD Specialist), you’ll be part of a collaborative team that focuses on treating the whole person—addressing both behavioral health and substance use through a unified, trauma-informed approach. You’ll provide individualized support, education, and counseling to help clients move toward lasting recovery and wellness. About the ITCD Program: The Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders (ITCD) program provides specialized, person-centered care for individuals experiencing both mental health and substance use disorders. Through a holistic, team-based approach, the program focuses on treating the whole person—not just symptoms—by integrating behavioral health and addiction services into a unified treatment plan. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver co-occurring treatment services through individual and group counselingSupport clients through CPRC community-based services and outreach effortsConduct assessments, treatment planning, and stage-of-change evaluationsCollaborate with the multidisciplinary team on treatment reviews and care plansProvide transportation and collect/process urine drug screens as neededMaintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policiesParticipate in weekly team meetings and ongoing clinical supervisionRequirements, Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseHigh School/GED requiredAssociate's/Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation/vocational/pastoral counseling, family therapy or closely related field preferredWORK EXPERIENCE Must be one of the following:PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in MissouriQAP – a person certified or registered with one of the following Missouri Credentialing Board credentials: CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP-D, RADC, RADC-POne (1) year of training or supervised experience in substance abuse treatment requiredIf less than one (1) year of co-occurring disorder treatment experience is held, must be actively acquiring 24 hours of co-occurring training and receive supervision from experienced co-occurring staff as approved by the departmentA valid driver's license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage requiredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Missouri OR Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) with Missouri Substance Use CredentialYou’ll Be A Great Fit for This Role if You:Are passionate about integrated care and supporting clients through both mental health and substance use recoveryThrive in a collaborative, team-based environmentCan engage individuals with complex needs using empathy, respect, and evidence-based practicesAre comfortable working in the community and supporting clients through outreachValue flexibility, accountability, and compassionate care in your daily work
