Calling on certified Special Education Teachers who want to support students in resource instruction: Soliant is seeking a long-term substitute for an elementary school in Richardson, TX.

The applicant will cover one site at the start of the assignment, and support language, math, and social skill instruction for K-5 students. Applicantsmaybe asked to split their time between two campuses at a later date, dependent on the availability of educator support within the District.

Requirements:

  • Special Education teacher certificate from the Texas Education Agency
  • 1+ years of experience with resource instruction for elementary students preferred

Pay and benefits:

  • Hourly, W2 pay of $40 to $45 per hour
  • Health, vision and dental insurance
  • Employer matched 401(k)

Description of duties:

  • Collaborate with diagnosticians, staff, and families to determine if students need an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  • Develop social and academic programs according to IEPs.
  • Plan lessons in accordance with IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress with a blend of informal observations and scored assessments
  • Present positive role model for students
  • Refer to community resources aid students in dealing with emotional/physical needs
  • Manage student behavior and administer discipline according to IEP.
  • Plan and supervise activities for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteer(s)
  • Ensure that instructional program is compliant withcampus, district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reports, records, and documents.
