About The Position
VieMed Healthcare Staffing is looking for qualified Social Service Specialists for contracts across the state of Mississippi

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Social Work (preferred) or Child and Family Studies, Child Development, Early Childhood and Family, Family Studies, Psychology, Nursing, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Child and Adolescent Counseling, Social Services or Counseling Psychology.

Skills Needed:

  • Practice independently and remotely, solution focused problem solving, efficient organizational skills and time management skills, social skills, culture competency, ability to articulate, investigate and document, reliable and punctual.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • The contract Social Services Specialists will support with cases, to include two in-home visits per month, initial assessments, ongoing safety and risk assessments, implementation of safety plans, documentation of case management activities, preparation of professional court reports, providing professional recommendations in court proceedings twice per year (approximately every six months).

Hours:

  • Mon-Fri 11a - 7p with some on call as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field
  • Personal, reliable transportation
  • Clean driving record
  • Car insurance
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $30.25 per hour

Schedule:

 

  • 8 hour shift

 

Ability to commute/relocate:

 

  • Mississippi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
