Occupational Therapist Position in Trenton, FL Schools
Description:
We're in search of a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our vibrant school-based team near Trenton, FL. As an OT in a school setting, your role involves delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services to students facing physical, cognitive, or emotional hurdles. Your main objective is to assist students in developing, restoring, or improving their capacity to engage in daily activities and attain greater independence and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough assessments to evaluate students' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional abilities and challenges.
Create customized treatment plans based on assessment results, considering student objectives, capabilities, and preferences.
Administer therapeutic interventions, such as exercises, activities, and specialized equipment, to enhance functional independence and enhance overall quality of life.
Offer hands-on therapy and guidance to enhance students' motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and range of motion.
Educate students, families, and caregivers on strategies and methods to boost independence and integrate therapy goals into daily routines.
Qualifications:
Hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Possess current state licensure or meet eligibility criteria for Occupational Therapist licensure.
Demonstrate strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and familiarity with various physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions and their effects on daily functioning.
Have documented experience in assessing, planning, and executing occupational therapy interventions.
Exhibit empathy, patience, and sensitivity towards the unique needs and obstacles faced by individuals undergoing occupational therapy services.
