Shipping Clerk Job Description: 
  • Prepare Daily shipments.  Line up various LTL/Dedicated trucking companies for each shipment. Operate UPS Worldship computer, etc.
  • Load/unload daily trucks
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. individually, up to 125 lbs. with assistance
  • Receive Daily incoming shipments/material.  (will receive training on overhead crane for unloading flatbeds of aluminum/steel/etc)
  • Operate Forklift in order to prepare shipments, load trucks, put away incoming material
  • Organize incoming material onto racks/shelves
  • During shipping downtime, shipper helps out assembling hardware kits, some handtool type assembly, etc.

Shipping Clerk Job Requirements:
  • 2-3 years experience with shipping software, LTL, UPS Worldship
  • Ability to bend stoop kneel and lift as needed
  • 2 years forklift operation experience
