We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Franklin Park, IL. In this role, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for students with speech and language disorders, promoting effective communication skills within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language needs of students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, tailored to each students unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and fluency.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' communication needs within the classroom and school environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate and empower students and their families on speech and language development and strategies to enhance communication at home.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
