Job SummarySeeking qualified, experienced instructors for English courses in English, Communications, and Humanities Department in General Education. Successful candidates will have experience and be willing to instruct in either face-to-face or online classes as needed.We are recruiting adjunct faculty to teach various courses in writing and oral communications, including the following: Fundamentals of Oral Communication, Writing and Rhetoric I, and Writing and Rhetoric II. Adjunct pool applications are reviewed on an as-needed basis and will be retained for one (1) year from the date of application. Adjuncts are paid at a per credit hour rate.For inquiries regarding this position, please contact Dana Cotton at dana.cotton@cei.eduTypical Job FunctionsProvides instruction to post-secondary students in assigned content areaDevelops related instructional materials (such as syllabus, lectures, course materials, evaluation tools, classroom activities, and others) for either face-to-face or online instruction.Maintains consistent office hoursAttends in-service and other departmental meetings each semesterPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsMaster's degree in core subject area with at least 18 graduate credit hours in these disciplinesAdditional Desired Qualifications______________________________________________________________________Physical Demands and Work Environment Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.Onsite work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours. Background Investigations:Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
