Occupational Therapist (OT) / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Athens, TX
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Athens, TX. In this full-time role, you will work with clients of all ages to support their recovery, development, and independence in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Evaluation: Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans to achieve their goals.
- Therapy Implementation: Deliver direct therapy services, either as an OT or under the supervision of an OT as a COTA.
- Documentation: Keep detailed and accurate records of client progress, treatment plans, and required documentation to meet compliance standards.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
- Education: Provide guidance and support to clients and their families on strategies to improve daily living skills and foster independence.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- OT: Masters or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- COTA: Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure:
- OT: Current Texas Occupational Therapy license.
- COTA: Current Texas COTA license.
- Experience: Prior experience in a clinical or school setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
