Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Scrum Master to facilitate Agile ceremonies and discussions between the development team and stakeholders at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Coach the development team on Scrum processes and remove impediments for the team.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Scrum meetings, such as Sprint planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, and provide sufficient records.
  • Work with the PMO and the team to define and deliver relevant metrics that are formulated and utilized for meeting project objectives.

  • Plan and coordinate training for the team on the Scrum processes.

Qualifications

7+ years experience in software development including experience in a lead or supervisory role for a scrum team. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience in running scrum teams across multiple projects. Thorough knowledge of the principles of scrum and other agile methodologies. Familiar with mitigation strategies for common impediments to a scrum team. Able to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict. Knowledge of techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum. Experience with successful Agile techniques. Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills. Able to adapt to a changing environment. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
