As a Community Support Specialist – Youth, you’ll provide personalized, in-home and community-based support, helping young people and their caregivers build resilience, navigate challenges, and create lasting change. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver strengths-based, holistic services to youth and families based on individualized Wellness PlansSupport family engagement and participation in the treatment processProvide coaching, skill-building, and access to community resourcesCollaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and other child-serving systemsOffer crisis support when needed and assist in developing safety plansCommunicate regularly with the client’s integrated care teamDocument services accurately and timely in accordance with agency guidelinesTravel within the community to meet with clients and families in their homesFlex your schedule based on client needs — some evenings and weekends requiredRequirements, Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseHigh School/GED requiredAssociate's* or Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field preferredWORK EXPERIENCEMust qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options listed:Qualified addiction professional;Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S. Department of Education’s database of accredited schools at http:/ope.ed.gov/accreditation ;Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience;Four years of qualifying experience; orAssociate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the department.*Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required You’ll Be a Great Fit for This Role if You: Both experienced and  new to the human services field are welcome to applyBring compassion, patience, and energy to every interactionAre comfortable working in the field and meeting families in their homes or community settingsThrive in a role that balances teamwork with independenceCommunicate clearly and build trust with clients, families, and professional partnersAre adaptable, solution-focused, and motivated by making a difference in the lives of others IND 2
