Machine Operator  Job Details: The Machine Operator will operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move products, supporting the overall production and manufacturing processes
  • Schedule:
  • Hours on first shift for training are:  Monday through Friday  6am to 4:30pm    ½ hour unpaid lunch and 2 x 15 minute paid breaks      
  • 10 hour days – which provides 10 hours of OT every week.  Hours for second shift are: Monday through Friday  3:30pm to 2am.  ½ hour unpaid lunch and 2 x 15 minute paid breaks.    
  • 10 hour days – which provides 10 hours OT every week.    
  • Pay Rate:  20.50 plus 1.75 shift differential
     
 Job Description: 
  • Operates and maintains various production/manufacturing machines
  • Pre-inspections of equipment, machines, tools, work areas
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate
    production.
  • Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
  • Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
  • Maintains inventory of completed products.
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects
  •  Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Ensure safety of self and others


Job Requirements:
  • Accurately complete administrative forms and reports and in a timely fashion
  • Effectively carry out job functions with or without supervision
  •  Exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and when making decisions
  • Understand and comply with personnel and other policies and procedures as outlined
    in the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy,
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is required
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Exercise courtesy and tact when dealing with others
  • Work effectively and harmoniously in a culturally and ethnically diverse work force
  • Ability to self-motivate and work under deadline pressure
  • Apply organizational, time management, basic research, and data collection skills
  • Exercise confidentiality

Basic and pneumatic hand tools, sanders, grinders, saws, drills, drill presses, welding
equipment, shapers, cutters, measuring tools, forklift, overhead crane, various material
handling and fabrication equipment
