We are currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Special Education Teacher to join our team in Birmingham, MI for the upcoming school year.

Job Description:
As a Special Education Teacher with Soliant Education, you will be responsible for delivering individualized support to K-12 students with diverse learning needs. Your role will involve creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), adapting instructional materials, and working closely with students, families, and school staff to ensure a supportive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Provide direct instruction and tailored support to students in accordance with their IEP goals.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support system.
  • Track and document student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and evaluation of educational goals and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Special Education teaching license.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
