Job Description:

Soliant Education is currently seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Avra Valley, AZ area for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students in grades K-6 by providing specialized instruction and support tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, adaptive skills, and social-emotional learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success and progress.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Arizona teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain certification).
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality instruction and support to students with disabilities.
