Our client is seeking (2) PV1 Pharmacists to join their pharmacy team on a contract-to-hire or direct hire basis for the right candidates. Currently conducting interviews this week. Position Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: 13-week contract to hire
  • Shift: Mix of days/evenings with rotating weekends


About the Role: As a PV1 Pharmacist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the clinical prescription review process and communication with healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, entering, and clarifying prescriptions from nurses and physicians (PV1)
  • Preparing medications accurately and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities (PV1)
  • Dispensing medications through compounding, packaging, and labeling
  • Monitoring drug therapies and providing interventions as needed
  • Efficiently handling various forms of orders: faxed, verbal, electronic, and paper
  • Collaborating with physicians to obtain prescriptions (PV1)
  • Overseeing controlled substances, backorders, and EKits
  • Supervising pharmacists and order entry staff
  • Performing clinical reviews, reporting medication errors, and managing billing procedures

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of medications, interactions, and dosage
  • Experience in long-term care (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with Frameworks and DocuTrack information systems (beneficial)
  • Current pharmacist licensure in NY
