Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, fluency, and voice skills, employing a range of assessment methods including standardized assessments, informal observations, and consultations with parents and teachers.
  2. Analyze assessment findings to ascertain students' eligibility for speech-language services and devise tailored treatment plans in alignment with state and federal regulations.
  3. Conduct virtual therapy sessions targeting communication disorders such as articulation, language comprehension, expressive language, pragmatics, fluency, and voice disorders.
  4. Customize therapy materials and strategies to accommodate diverse student needs and learning preferences, leveraging evidence-based practices and assistive technology resources.
  5. Provide guidance and training to teachers and parents on effective strategies for nurturing students' communication skills within the virtual learning environment.
  6. Engage actively in virtual IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team discussions, and professional development sessions to foster collaboration and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  2. Possess valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in Arizona.
  3. Hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  4. Demonstrate prior experience as a speech-language pathologist, preferably within educational settings or in delivering teletherapy services.
  5. Display familiarity with teletherapy platforms, tele practice software, and technological aids utilized in remote service delivery.
  6. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with students, families, educators, and fellow professionals.
  7. Possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities essential for documentation, reporting, and consultation purposes.
  8. Fulfill requirements for clearances and background checks mandated by school districts or prospective employers.
