Music Teacher

Soliant Education is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year near Reserve, LA. As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students through the power of music, fostering their creativity, talent, and love for the arts in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive music education curriculum that aligns with state and national standards, integrating elements of music theory, performance, history, and appreciation.
• Provide engaging instruction in various musical concepts and techniques, catering to the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical abilities and express themselves creatively.
• Lead rehearsals and performances for school music ensembles, such as bands, choirs, or orchestras, showcasing student talent and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and community stakeholders to support school-wide events and initiatives, including concerts, recitals, and music festivals.
• Assess student progress through ongoing performance evaluations, projects, and assessments, providing constructive feedback to promote growth and development.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, performance opportunities, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Louisiana teaching license with certification in Music Education (grades K-12).
• Proficiency in playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments and genres.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in music.
