Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in Plainfield, IL. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with early childhood students on the Autism Spectrum, focusing on communication and adaptive behavior skills within the Autism Program - Communication & Adaptive Behavior Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for early childhood students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Provide direct instruction and support in communication and adaptive behavior skills.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement effective educational strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians and stakeholders regarding student development and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
  • Experience working with early childhood students, particularly those on the Autism Spectrum, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and strategies for teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
