As an Art Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire creativity and foster artistic expression in students of all ages. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging art curriculum that aligns with state standards and educational objectives.
  • Teach various art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Provide instruction on art history and appreciation to broaden students' understanding of artistic traditions and styles.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity and express themselves.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to support growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to promote the importance of arts education and advocate for the needs of students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification/license in Art Education (or eligibility to obtain certification in South Carolina).
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching art to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Strong knowledge of art history, theory, and techniques across various mediums.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for inspiring creativity in others.
