Empower Young Voices Through Adolescence: School Counselor (Middle & High School) - Soliant Education (Bethesda, NC Area)
Are you a passionate and dedicated school counselor seeking a rewarding opportunity to empower middle and high school students to navigate the challenges and opportunities of adolescence?
Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Counselor to join our team in the Bethesda, NC area This full-time, on-site position for the 2024-2025 school year offers the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of students during a critical developmental stage.
What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive academic, social-emotional, and career counseling services to a diverse population of middle and high school students.
- Develop and implement individualized student support plans to promote academic success, social-emotional well-being, and college and career readiness.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address a range of student needs, including academic challenges, social-emotional concerns, bullying prevention, and career exploration.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community partners to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Deliver classroom presentations and workshops on topics such as study skills, social-emotional learning, and career planning.
- Manage student data and track student progress to inform counseling interventions and program development.
- Advocate for the academic success, well-being, and diverse needs of all students.
- Stay current on best practices in school counseling through professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- North Carolina School Counselor License.
- Prior experience working with middle and/or high school students in a school counseling setting is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and the unique challenges faced by middle and high school students.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques.
- Strong data management and analysis skills.
- A commitment to equity and inclusion in the school environment.
- Passion for helping middle and high school students navigate the challenges and opportunities of adolescence and achieve their full potential.
