Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in the Woodside, CA area. This is a full-time, on-site position working with students in grades 4th-6th, providing essential support to their academic and social development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in grades 4th-6th.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the unique learning requirements of each student.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including inclusion classrooms and resource rooms.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student success.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification/licensure in California.
  • Experience working with elementary students, specifically in grades 4th-6th, with special needs preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
