Job description

U.S. Got People is searching for a dedicated professional to work as a Psychometrist, within the Behavioral Health Clinic at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC.

Will work Monday through Friday between the hours of 0600-2000 for 8.5 hr. shift.

Qualifications:

Degree: Possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or in a behavioral science related field. OR Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or in a behavioral science related field.

Certification in addition to Basic Life Support: Possess a current certification as a Psychometrist by the National Association of Psychometrists or Board of Certified Psychometrists (BCP).

Experience: · If education is Master’s degree, have 1 year experience in the performance of neuropsychological testing and test scoring within the preceding 24 months. If education is Bachelor’s degree, have three years of experience in the performance of neuropsychological testing and test scoring within the preceding 36 months.

Acceptable neuropsychological test experience shall include at least one of the following:

Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-fourth edition (WAIS-IV) or current

Wechsler Memory Scale-fourth edition (WMS-IV) or current

California Verbal Learning Test-second edition (CLVT-II)

Trailmaking Test

Grooved Pegboard Test

Test of Memory and Malingering (TOMM)

Wisconsin Card Sorting Test

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

Perform assigned assessment procedures under the direct supervision of a credentialed privileged psychologist or neuropsychologist.

Utilize therapeutic assessment and interview skills to elicit accurate and concise account of the patient's condition.

Screen patients to determine presenting problems and priority of appointment. Perform basic assessment procedures, including initial screening evaluation and standardized neuropsychological testing. Assist credentialed providers with identifying mental health diagnosis and treatment strategies, as well as providing patient education.

Assist in providing specialized treatment and rehabilitation of brain injured and mental health patients. Observe, monitor, report, and record patient interaction during assessment sessions.

Institute precautionary measures to prevent patient injuries due to suicide, homicide, or elopement.

Coordinate with other military agencies and MTFs regarding specialized care, treatment, and administrative functions. Contact military or community agencies to obtain collateral information.

Explain and interpret neuropsychological services and procedures to access care to patients and commands. Assist in or arrange for patient referral to other facilities for alternate level of care.
