Position: Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Location: Vista, CA Duration: 2024-2025 School Year

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students who speak English and another language.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication challenges and promote academic success in both languages.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and enhance classroom participation.
  • Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based techniques and culturally sensitive approaches.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and another language commonly spoken by students in the area (e.g., Spanish).
  • Previous experience working as a bilingual SLP preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
