**Description:**
Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year in Thornton, CO. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with students with mild to moderate disabilities and will be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both middle school and high school settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of students with disabilities in inclusive environments.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and differentiated instruction to facilitate student learning and growth.
- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate that promotes engagement, respect, and academic achievement.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid Colorado Special Education teaching license for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Previous experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
