Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced School RN for a position in Orland Park, Illinois, for the entire school year. This role involves not only providing nursing care at school but also riding the bus with three students (two of whom are siblings) to ensure their health and safety during transportation. The bus ride is a mandatory part of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bus Duties: Ride the school bus with three students (including two siblings), starting at 7:00 AM for pick-up and returning with them on the bus, with the last drop-off at 3:00 PM.
  • Nursing Care: Provide general nursing care to students during the school day, including administering medications, handling medical emergencies, and supporting students with chronic health conditions.
  • Coordination: Work closely with school staff to ensure the health and safety of students throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in Illinois.
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric care is preferred.
  • Ability to manage medical care effectively in a school setting.
  • Comfortable and willing to ride the bus with students as part of the job responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and students.

Additional Information:

  • The position requires full-time commitment, including bus rides with students from pick-up to drop-off.
  • This is a crucial role for ensuring the well-being of students during their daily school commute and throughout the school day.
