Valiant Integrated Services has an exciting opportunity for an Assessment Analyst supporting the AC/S for Plans and Concepts (G-5) for the U.S. Marine Corps Forces – Europe and Africa (MARFOREUR/AF) and is one of the primary staff personnel for joint and service-component Annual Joint Assessment (AJA), assigned Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAI) assessment (including exercises), and Maritime Campaign Plan (MCP) assessment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide oversight to staff sections throughout the Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAI) planning cycles to ensure purpose, objectives, Lines of Effort (LOE), Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) accurately to support the MARFOREUR/AF Campaign and Command Training Plan.
- Develop comprehensive collection and assessment plans by soliciting input across the MARFOREUR/AF staff section stakeholders to include respective combatant command headquarters and other service components. When and where applicable gather information from host-nation Allied armed forces exercise or SME participants, interagency partners, international organizations, and respective U.S. Embassy personnel.
- Enter and maintain current data and information into joint systems of records including the Command and Control Information Environment (C2IE), the Joint Training Tool (JTT) and others.
- Possess a general understanding of the Service and Combatant Commander funding sources, DOD resource requirements, and the integrated priority list (IPL) acquisition process, to enhance development of the scope and depth of assessing OAIs and Maritime Campaign Plan (MCP).
- Draft and coordinate in-progress reviews (IPR), information papers, and assessment related briefs.
- Assist MCP and OAI planners and stakeholders develop and evaluate measures of effectiveness, measures of performance, lines of effectiveness and the linkages to OAI objectives to derive quantitative and qualitative information.
- Develop Operational Assessment and assist with after-action reviews (when applicable), for assigned OAIs.

- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of directly related military experience; OR 15 years of directly related military experience.
- Active Secret clearance
- Possesses US. Citizenship, a valid U.S. Driver’s License, and a valid U.S. tourist passport.
- Has completed Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase 1.
- Must be able and willing to travel anywhere in the United States and the EUCOM and AFRICOM Areas or Responsibility)
- Must be able and willing to travel frequently (may be up to 50%).
- Must be able to work extended hours in support of exercise requirements.
- Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing, and able to brief senior military leaders.
- Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
- Fluency with Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) concepts is preferred.
- 3+ years of planning experience at the service component- or combatant command-level, and fluency with joint operations and planning (and assessment) process.

- Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
