Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in Cheraw, South Carolina. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to students, aiding their communication development and academic success.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results and students' specific needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' communication goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school staff.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and updates on student progress.
  • Stay updated with current practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in South Carolina.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • South Carolina Department of Education Professional Educator's Certificate with a specialization in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Valid South Carolina SLP license.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
  • South Carolina Professional Educator's Certificate in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Successful completion of a background check for eligibility to work in South Carolina public schools.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
