Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who want to work with children, teens, and young adults in a specialized school setting with wraparound services Soliant is working with a Special Education school that serves students in need of educational and behavioral support.

The applicant will be working with students aged 5 to 21, most of whom are diagnosed with Autism or Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. Typical caseloads are around 35 students.

Primary responsibilities as follows:

  • Assess students referred for speech and language needs.
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of a students progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of PennsylvaniaSpecial Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
  • Professionalism and accountability

Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania SLP license
  • Instructional Specialist or Education Specialist certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists
