Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Dublin, CA
Employment Type: Full-time, Contracting through Soliant Education
Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a School-Based OT for the 2024-2025 academic year in Dublin, CA.
Position Overview: As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic success by addressing their sensory, motor, and developmental needs. You will work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions that promote students' independence and participation in school activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting evaluations and assessments to determine students' functional abilities and needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address students' sensory, motor, and self-care skills
- Providing direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support students' academic and social success
- Providing consultation and training to school staff and parents on strategies to promote students' independence and participation in school activities
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid California license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
