The logistics team plays a critical role throughout the shipping cycle, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of goods. They are responsible for planning and coordinating with our materials and sales group to optimize efficiency and meet customer timelines. This includes managing all aspects of shipments, from coordinating inbound and outbound logistics to providing exceptional customer support and promptly addressing inquiries. Their meticulous attention to detail and cost ensures that materials are handled with care, verified for accuracy, and documented comprehensively, contributing to the seamless operation of our supply chain and aftermarket support.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a point of contact for customers on any Logistical-related issues
Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing to resolve issues or queries they may have
Follow sales order to prepare goods stated for shipment
Responsible for helping maintain all routine delivery vehicle maintenance
Provide support to the Sales Department in servicing clients as required
Provide suggestions within the area of responsibility to the Logistics Manager as needed
Coordinated with the materials department to manage incoming goods and daily dispatches according to requirements
Follow procedures in processing all non-conforming goods or returns as required
Provide support in the planning and tracking of the shipment of finished orders
Responsible for keeping appropriate documentation and logs to support all finalized orders
Focus on actively working towards achieving the departmental KPIs through consistent effort and performance improvements, ensuring that goals are met effectively
Stay current with knowledge of dispatch, logistics planning, and effective supplier management
Responsible for providing accurate reports to track performance and enable decision making
Actively participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities within the unit
Any other job assigned by Supervisor
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Experience with logistics and necessary skills in overseeing shipment materials and processes
IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Communication skills: The job of logistics staff involves large internal and external customer contact, so it is important that you have excellent skills to communicate and relate with others
Interpersonal skills: It is important that you can establish and uphold relationships to effectively carry out the duties of the position
Stress management: Logistics staff work in a fast-paced environment and your job will require that you meet targets within a scheduled timeframe. So, it is important that you can work well under pressure.
Organizational skills: must have planning and multi-tasking skills to effectively prioritize and handle multiple assignments
Experience with ERP systems preferred
Flexibility: must be willing to and able to work flexible hours
