School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Cicero, Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time, Full School Year

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for a school-based position. As an OT, you will work directly with students to help them succeed in their educational environment by addressing physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges that impact learning and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students in grades [K-12]
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students functional skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Assist with IEP development and attend meetings as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
  • Current IL OT license or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
