Remote Occupational Therapist (OT) Needed in Louisiana (LA)

Are you passionate about empowering students to overcome educational barriers? VocoVision TelePractice Organization offers a diverse range of specialized, remote services, offering instruction for students in need of speech, language, and occupational therapy. We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for the 2024-2025 school year, dedicated to making a positive impact on students lives through teletherapy, all from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to determine students occupational therapy needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

  • Engage students in goal planning, monitoring progress, and self-advocacy.

  • Deliver engaging teletherapy sessions utilizing our advanced online learning platform.

  • Provide remote occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and interventions to address motor skills, sensory processing, fine motor coordination, and daily living activities.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students unique requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations and school district policies.

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure comprehensive support for students.

  • Communicate with school administration and general education teachers to facilitate progress in the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Available full-time or part-time during school hours.

  • Masters Level Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Must have certified state license in Louisianaand state of residence.

  • Education Certification in Louisianamay be required.

  • Must have a home computer and strong internet connection.

  • Experience with virtual platforms (Zoom/Teams) preferred.
