Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Applicants

  • $25/hr bonus pay
  • Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus
  • Up to 120 hours of frontloaded paid time off

Job Summary

  • The internal agency Ultrasound Technologist responds to department critical coverage needs throughout the system. Competency requires versatility to cover any need throughout system Radiology Ultrasound perinatology departments. Independently, or under the direction of a physician, the Ultrasonographer performs ultrasound procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of prescribed ultrasound techniques for diagnosis and intervention. The Ultrasonographer in the Perinatology Clinic performs high-risk OB Ultrasounds. The Ultrasonographer has the responsibility for diagnostic ultrasound, interventional and other examination procedures and physiology; with independent selection and modification of technical factors to produce optimum results.
Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred: Graduate of Approved School of Medical Sonography or Associates Degree within health science
  • Experience
    • Required: 1-2 Years Related ExperiencePreferred: 3 years of related experience
  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with different levels of management.
    • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
    • Proficient in using computers and computer systems; Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high level proficiency in Excel.
    • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
    • Knowledge of current information technology to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity.
    • Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: Proof of passing result on ARDMS or ARRT examination.Required: R.T. (S) (ARRT) or ARDMS (AB), (OB/GY), (VT) or (MSKS).  Verification within 3 months of hire via ARDMS or ARRT website.Required: Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire date
