THEOPPORTUNITY

Primient customers trustus to provide high quality ingredients for their manufacturingprocesses. Our Plant Quality team leads on key strategic andprocess initiatives to strengthen our standards even further andensure we maintain key accreditations.

TheAnalytical Instrument Specialist will play a pivotal role inmaintaining and servicing scientific analytical instrumentationwithin the CQC laboratory. This position will serve as the primarypoint of contact for Plant QA/QC laboratories, addressing requestsfor instrumentation support, special sample analyses, andtroubleshooting issues.

Keyresponsibilities: Analytical Instrument Specialist

• Service and maintain avariety of scientific instrumentation, including but not limited toHigh-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), RotationalViscometer Apparatus (RVA), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR), Gas Chromatography (GC), and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy(NIR).
• Conduct calibration and repair ofanalytical instrumentation to ensure accuracy andreliability.
• Identify opportunities forstandardization and harmonization of laboratory equipment acrossmultiple sites.
• Evaluate and recommendlaboratory software solutions to streamlineoperations.
• Consult on the selection andevaluation of new laboratoryinstrumentation.
• Provide comprehensive supportto Plant QA/QC laboratories, including assistance withinstrumentation, management of special projects, validation of newequipment, and identification ofcontaminants.
• Serve as a backup Quality Control(QC) analyst for routine testing procedures in the CQClaboratory.

ABOUT YOU

• Priorexperience in servicing and maintaining scientific analyticalinstrumentation.
• Proficiency in operating andtroubleshooting RVA, NIR, FTIR, and HPLC instruments ispreferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevantscientific field, electronics, orequivalent.
• Demonstrated commitment to safetyprotocols in laboratory and manufacturingenvironments.
• Strong focus on continuousimprovement processes to enhance efficiency andquality.
• Excellent communication andorganizational skills.
• Familiarity with theMicrosoft Office Suite ofproducts.
