Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Moderate/Severe Credential

Location: Fallbrook, California area

Employer: Soliant Education

Position Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Description: Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher with a Mod/Severe credential in California to join our team in the Fallbrook area. This position involves working with 4th-8th grade students on a Special Day Class (SDC) caseload. If you have a heart for making a difference in the lives of students with special needs, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other staff members to support student success
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth

Requirements:

  • Valid California Teaching Credential with a Mod/Severe Special Education authorization
  • Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices and behavior management techniques
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Pay: $40-45/hour (commensurate with experience)
