Job Description:

As a 7th Grade ELA Teacher at our school, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment that fosters a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. You will be working with students in the 7th grade, helping them develop strong communication skills, comprehension abilities, and a deep appreciation for literature. Your role will involve designing and delivering effective lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other educators and staff to provide a well-rounded educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver ELA lessons that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Develop and implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Create and maintain a well-organized classroom with an array of educational resources.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• South Carolina teaching certification with ELA endorsement.
• Prior experience teaching ELA in middle school settings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
