Part-time Speech-Language Pathologist, Biloxi, MS

Calling on Mississippi-licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who can be available for a short-term contract We need an SLP to cover a spring semester opening with an elementary school near Biloxi, MS.

Details below:

  • 18 week assignment
  • Time commitment of 25 to 30 hours
  • Elementary school caseload


Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Mississippi Speech-Language Pathology License
  • 1 year of experience with school settings desired

Additional information about the District, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.

Pay and compensation:

  • Hourly pay, W2 of $34 to $45/hr
  • Health, vision and dental insurance
  • Employer matched 401(k)

As a school-based SLP, you will:

  • Assess students for communication delays or speech impairments
  • Report on test results and make recommendations for appropriate goals and therapy plans
  • Consultwith colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis; ensure accurate records in order to update progress reports
  • Participate in a evaluative and consultative processes to ensure children are getting appropriate support, including: Child Find, Speech Screenings, Response to Intervention, Record Review, Eligibility and Dismissal meetings
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Special Education and FERPA
